

Helping professionals are the backbone of mental health agencies who provide direct care to individuals living with mental illnesses. These same helping professionals are human beings with personal lives, which often include high levels of responsibility and stress. A workplace mental wellness culture is crucial to the longevity of these professionals.
Leaders can be defined in many ways and serve in various capacities. Being a true leader does not require a formal title, yet many of those who hold formal leadership roles neglect leading themselves well. Commit to being a leader who burns bright instead of one who burns out.


According to Postpartum Support International (PSI), 1 in 7 women will experience a perinatal mental health disorder either during pregnancy or postpartum. Men are also impacted, 1 in 10 will suffer if their partners are experiencing symptoms of a perinatal mental health disorder. Research shows with proper support and resources; these statistics can be decreased.
